How to Pick the Best Diamond Engagement Ring?

By admin

The number one question that most people have before they propose to their lover is which diamond engagement ring should they choose? This is perhaps the number one problem most men face because they simply don’t know what their lover like about jewelry and rings. This is not uncommon because many men are busy and they simply don’t have the time to know their lover preferences and tastes in jewelries.

If you’re one of them, it’s nothing to worry about. There’s no definite answer to the question either. Women taste in jewelry and rings can change any moment, just like the trend and fashion. However, you still need to know what are her current tastes in jewelry and most importantly, what she doesn’t like. Nothing can be more disastrous than being rejected simply because you bought the wrong engagement ring that she dislike.

You will need to consider what kind of metal attracts her attention most. White gold, silver, platinum, yellow gold or titanium. Titanium is not very popular among the women but again, you must be well educated enough to make the decision of buying the perfect diamond engagement ring for her. If you choose white gold or sterling silver as the metal for your engagement band, be sure that your lover is not allergic to nickel. Some people finds that their skin will get rashes if they wear jewelries with nickel in the alloy.

After you’ve decided which metal will make her happy and satisfied, it’s time to decide what kind of diamond you should buy for her. Most brides like to have diamonds on their engagement ring, so again, try to confirm this too. You don’t need to ask her upfront if she would like a diamond on her engagement ring. Try approaching her friends or family, they can give you a clue or two.

Picking the perfect diamond for your engagement ring requires some research and patience on your part. For your information, colorless diamonds are the most valuable of all but diamonds are limited to colorless. In fact, you will find blue, red, yellow, green and even pink diamonds sold in the jewelry market. Another important thing to consider is how you would like your diamond to be cut. You’re not going to cut the diamond yourself, rather your jeweler or the ring designer is going to do it. Basically, the more sophisticated and precise a diamond is cut, the more valuable and beautiful it will be.

If you’re truly serious about marrying your lover, be sure to do everything in your power to get the perfect diamond engagement ring. You don’t need to break your bank account to do this but you will certainly need to invest some time and patience. After all, you’re going to spend the rest of your life with her so be sure to get her a diamond engagement ring that will make her cry with joy and happiness. Give her every reasons to happily say “yes” from the bottom of her heart.

What's the best place to get a high-quality, unique, relatively affordable diamond engagement ring?
I’m a few months away from being engaged (hopefully) and am having trouble getting going on the ring-selecting process. I want something high-quality, but also not break-the-bank expensive, since I’m working in a low-wage internship for the next year. And I want it one-of-a-kind, not just one you could pick up at any old store. What’s my best route?

http://www.idonowidont.com

This website is for people selling their rings (divorce, never got around to asking, etc.) The website always inspects the ring for authenticity before giving the money to the seller and sending it on to you.

My brother got a beautiful ring for his (now) fiancee for $300! He had it sized at a local jeweler who appraised it for $2500. What a steal!!

Happy hunting.

You can sometimes find great rings at pawn shops. Some 2nd hand stores. I know there’s a stigma with those, but if you’re both serious about your love it won’t matter where you got the ring. I picked mine out at WalMart and I don’t care, it’s the man that’s one of a kind and that’s all that matters! I’m so in love!!!!

We are considering http://www.israel-diamonds.com
I am a little wary of buying off the net but I have heard
good stories from people who have used this company.
They have an on line chat thingy so you can ask endless questions. Their range is unusual and definitely more diamond for your money.
I think you kind of cut out the middle man so it is cheaper
than the stores. They have some beautiful rings.
Worth a look, anyways and it is guaranteed and 30 day money back, so you can take it to the jeweller, make sure it is the real thing and send it back if unhappy.
They do seem to be the real deal to me tho.

I would try the jewelry mart in or around your town. They have great prices.

check out all the jewelry stores closest to you. there is always one where you walk in and just suddenly start seeing stuff you love!

when i went looking for rings, we went to five differant stores, and i had just about given up because i hadnt found anything that jumped out and made me say "thats the one"

but then we saw this random little jewery store that we had never noticed before, i found THE ring (its awsome, its based of an old antique estate peice, so its very glamourous without being huge).

so shop around. i personally think it is best to buy from a store, rather than a website. it is easy to get anything you need fixed or sized in a prompt mannor.

make sure when you are at a store looking, that the jeweler LISTENS to what you have to say. that they show you styles you WANT, not something completly random you didnt ask for. rings come in all shapes and sizes. be sure you check stuff well, i remember looking at two rings very similar in style, but for one reason or another, one was $500 less than the other!

hope i helped. its really more of a hands on process than a thing you can learn on the internet

oh, ps! make sure you are well aware of what a stores warenty is!!!!

hey, there’s this great website: http://www.bidz.com

they have really beautiful rings, and I’m not sure if the value is really as high as they claim, but the auction-style makes it way cheaper to purchase. I look at this site fairly frequently, hoping that my boyfriend could get me a ring from here.
Good luck!
