bridesmaid gift…what do you think?
By
i have purchased for my bridesmaids some pajamas, it’s a cotton nightie, since we’ll all be spending the night together before the wedding. i chose the color/fit as best as I could to tastes and body type.
to give them at the rehearsal dinner, i am thinking of getting them this mug
http://www.teavana.com/Dragonfly+Tea+Mug+with+Infuser/keywords=infuser+mug/page_no=1/edp_no=4912/shop.axd/ProductDetails
some loose tea that i think they will like and a tea tin to keep it fresh
is this a personal enough gift? or would you be disappointed. we all went to college together and drank tea like fiends…
i didn’t want to buy something like jewelry because we all have dramatically different jewelry/fashion sense
i think it sounds like a nice gift

If you know for sure that they do enjoy tea, then yes, it is a personal enough gift. It has a history behind it (from college days), it’s practical; something they can actually use, and keep on using. A mug won’t get packed up in the attic to collect dust. I have shopped at Teavana and it’s an awesome store. Perhaps one of their tea samplers would be better than just a single variety? Just in case their tastes vary.
If all else fails, a functional, personalized gift always works. My best friend got us all jewelry boxes with our names engraved on them from Things Remembered. I use it all the time. Good luck ! And Congratulations on your upcoming wedding.

I have been in several of my friends weddings. Some of the bridesmaids gifts I could have done without. Who needs a compact with their initail on it. Gifts I have liked however, is my one friend made us all tiny scrapbooks with pics of us and her in it. (one for each of us, all different). And my best friend made us all packages with a gift certificate to the spa for manicure/ped/massage, and slippers, and eye masks, etc. Personally I would not like to get a 15 dollar gift for shelling out alot of money for a dress, and shower gifts, and wedding presents. Maybe that sounds selfish, but oh well

I think that is a very thoughtful gift! You can share your last night of "freedom" with them doing what you did in college. I think it’s a great way to celebrate the transition in your life and your friendship.

The mugs are cute and an interesting choice. Plus, it has meaning to all of you, since drinking tea is something you did as a group in college. The nightie will be a fun extra for the girls night.

I think the mug is beautiful. If you all are tea drinkers, it is a great gift. I love the PJ idea too. They can hang out in their PJs, drinking tea and thinking of you!
