As a hobby I make jewelry (necklaces, earings, bracelets, etc.) and I want to take it a step further!!?

By admin

I want to start my own company where I sell the items that I make. I won't need rental space or any start-up loans. There won't be much of an inventory to keep up with either. Just beads, string, fish-hooks, etc. :)

Do I need a business license to do this? If so, which one? Most of my sales will take places at home or as people stop and inquire about something that I'm wearing. People will be allowed to pick there colors and designs if they want as well.

Can someone please give me some information on where to start? I'm very new at this. Thanks.

Well it sounds like you'll find LoveBites and Bruises: (http://www.lovebitesandbruises.com) quite handy as they have an entire community of people both beginners and experts who would help with this.

If you are opening a shop, you will require a business licence. But if you sell privately, there is no need to aquire a licence unless you're making a lot of money.

Organizing: Jewelry (Earrings, Necklaces, etc.)

Check City Hall re: business license requirement.

Ever thought of selling your Wares over the net? I have a great 'how to' link if there's an interest.

Good Luck with your Enterprise!
