can emerald jewelry that has been in the ground 50-75 yrs. can the stones deteriorate?

Beryl is a mineral. No it won’t deteriorate in 50-75 years. Think of the archaeological digs, jewels and other minerals 3000+ years old.
What does a pear shape (a.k.a. "teardrop") jewelry stone symbolize?

Most emeralds have been "fracture filled" – and this filling can deteriorate or discolor over time.

Sorry to answer a question with a question but who are you planning on digging up?

If they are good stones, real, they are just rocks. But who knows what the jewelers did to them? They may not look so good, but I would think real emeralds would not change at all.
