What kind of glue do I use to glue jewelry stones to material.?

By admin

I'm taking an old pair of jeans and adding few stones to them to give them a fresh look. What glue should I use to ensure it doesn't come off during the evening. If you suggest fabric glue can you give me a specific name. I've used fabric glue but they dont hold stones for long. Thanks!

I use pronged rim sets to add small stones to denim, it's far more durable than any glue. They go on the wrong side of the fabric with the prongs sticking through the right side, the stone is set in, then the prongs are closed over the stone. The end of a pencil is all you need for a few stones, or a small needle nose pliers, our the tip of a teaspoon, what you have. You don't need a bedazzler of anything like that to use prong sets, just whatever works. These are available at Michael's craft store. If you don't want to use pronged sets, then I recommend the glue on this page: http://www.michaels.com/art/online/displayProductPage?productNum=gc0298
